Yahhh...I'm pretty sure that twigurrl thing is a joke. I mean, it looks like she's going out of her way to make spelling errors, and her arguments are unrealistic to the point of being very satirical. I'm pretty sure he/she's just doing that to rile people up and/or just make fun of Twihards in general, haha.
please do not even try to compare the two. For some reason which I will never understand, young girls live and swear by Twilight(which really only demonstrates our poor societal values). Bottom line, there is no comparison. Harry Potter is a well constructed, magical book, paralleling historical events and creating a world fans dream to live in. You can love your Twilight if you wish, but please do not try and put it on the same level as Harry Potter, because it simply never will be.

Alright FOR REAL Twilight is about a load of misogynistic men-vampires-whatever, who fight over this biddy. When she SOMEHOW UN-naturally conceives a child after the love triangle has resolved itself, her JUST BORN child/vampire thing is promised to a man 18 YEARS OLDER than her. Please give me the functionality of this. I feel sorry for people who think that possessing a woman, as clearly demonstrated by this series, is romantic/ idolizes these plot lines. So basically..

To immabeadork: I couldn't agree more. Having an opinion is a good thing but it's not called an opinion when you're historically inaccurate; that's called being wrong, not to mention ignorant. For example, America did not defeat Great Britain in WWII. We were on the same side.
To bunnieblueeyes, having an opinion is one thing, but when you start spurting out complete and total, indisputable lies and predjudiced statements against an entire nation, that's where you can't help but wonder what idiots raised that child.

People like that "twigurrl" are what make people hate twilight. Sure it is a slightly shitty storyline almost completely about falling in love. But its not as bad as people make out. I honestly dont think it deserves all the hate it gets. It also annoys me when the harry potter fandom prides itself on being open and accepting, then half of them make a post about twilight being shit, thats just as bad as others hating on harry potter. ANYWAY. I was wondering your feelings on the matter?
i think the HP fandom is open to all potterheads. at least, i am. i don’t judge people’s ships or OTPs. people get what they want from the fandom. it’s really up to them.
i don’t know what twilight fans get out of their fandom. maybe there’s one out there who can eloquently state it.
now, i sincerely think twi-hards are unbearable. there are twilight fans and then there are twi-hards, which that twigurrl is clearly one of. if people accepted twilight for what it is, a crap set of books and a crap set of movies in which the actors are actually ashamed of their parts, then the discussion wouldn’t come up as often.
there’s really no need for comparison because meyer and rowling don’t exist on the same plane.
